Mr. Dilip Shah founded Monachem on 8th January 1974, laying the foundation for
what is today a globally trusted name in specialty chemicals and life science
ingredients. With over five decades of experience in the global
chemical industry, he has played a key role in shaping India’s chemical trade and
manufacturing landscape.
He has also served in leadership positions across various chemical associations in
India, contributing to policy and industry advancement.

Mr. Shamik Shah represents the second generation of Monachem’s leadership. After completing his education in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the U.S., he returned to India in 2003 with a passion to contribute not just to wealth creation, but to India’s growth through innovation in the specialty chemicals industry.
He has since led Monachem’s transformation from a domestic trading business to a global CDMO, CMO, and CRO in specialty chemicals and life science ingredients, serving customers across 50+ countries.
